Simply Protein Bars
After years of stomach pains, difficulty eating, and numerous hospital visits, I was finally diagnosed as celiac in 2013, which means that I cannot eat gluten because my body doesn't know how to break it down. While it was a relief to finally know what was wrong with me, it's been a struggle to adjust to this new way of life. My entire family has tried to change their eating habits to fit mine, including my elderly Italian grandparents who have started making me homemade gluten-free pasta! It's also been great to see how more and more restaurants are including gluten-free options on their menu.
I've started testing all new Gluten Free products, finding out which ones taste amazing and which ones I'd rather stay away from. I recently came across Simply Protein, a brand of delicious granola protein bars. They are in several grocery stores and have so many tasty flavours, along with their other Gluten Free products. At an event this month, I tried the Maple Pecan flavour and couldn't believe how delicious it was! I also tried the Cocoa Coffee and Chocolate Caramel flavours, which are equally amazing.
Simple Protein bars are only 150 calories, have a low sugar count, are kosher, and satisfied my hunger for over three hours! If you or someone you know is gluten-free, I'd highly recommend checking out http://simplyprotein.ca/ for more great products and to find out where you can purchase Simply Protein near you. You won't be disappointed.
